Marketing Content Manager

 

We are looking for a prolific and talented content creator with experience in B2B/SaaS companies to regularly write, blog and curate content which enhances FullContact’s brand and outreach, driving website traffic, leads, engagement, retention, and positive customer behavior. This role requires a high level of creativity, attention to detail, and project management skills.  The successful candidate requires a combined marketing and publishing mindset, with the most important aspect being to get into the mindset of the target personas and create and distribute highly relevant content.  They will be responsible for content marketing initiatives, across multiple platforms and formats, ensuring that all channels work together to provide consistent and compelling messaging.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, write, source and edit content including website copy, articles, blogs, white papers, brochures, social posts, public relations materials.
  • Create 1-2 free, gated resources each month to drive leads (examples include ebooks, whitepapers, infographics, guides, etc.).
  • Develop a functional editorial content calendar that is accessible across teams.
  • Re-engage and grow our Weekly Newsletter subscriber base by curating and organizing helpful content which is in-tune with their needs.
  • Establish workflow for requesting, creating, editing, publishing, and retiring content.
  • Create distribution strategy to maximize content impact across channels and personas.
  • Collaborate with designers, product marketing, sales, and external influencers to produce relevant content that meets the needs of both key stakeholders and our target personas.
  • Ensure all content is on-brand, consistent in terms of style, quality and tone of voice, and optimized for search and user experience for all channels.
  • Convince others that your creative ideas are worth investing time and effort in. This role is at the core of the marketing team, and others will rely on your work every single day.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, journalism, public relations or related communications field.
  • Strong experience creating content for B2B audiences, preferably in the SaaS market.  Experience creating content for a Developer audience is a big plus.
  • 5+ years’ experience producing content for the web specifically, as well as channel-specific knowledge (blog, SlideShare, Facebook, Twitter, etc.)
  • Past experience building audiences either online or offline.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of SEO and web traffic metrics, showing alignment between content creation and website growth objectives.
  • Hands-on experience using a marketing automation platform to manage content distribution (Autopilot specifically a plus).
  • Fluency in web analytics tools (Adobe Omniture, Google Analytics, TrendKite), social media marketing applications (HootSuite, Buffer, etc.) and leading social media monitoring platforms (Talkwalker, Social Mention).
  • A dual-minded approach: You’re highly creative and an excellent writer but can also be process-driven, think scale, and rely on data to make decisions.
