The Role

Work on the Identity Resolution team as Technical Lead to design and construct performant algorithms, infrastructure and data pipelines to manage our graph database for our identity resolution offering. Our identity graph is constructed from billions of observations leveraging the latest in big data technologies. The Identity Resolution team is primarily focused on providing identity resolution capabilities to our internal customers enabling identity resolution across the board for our external customers. This involves integrating data sets, developing our patented identity resolution graph algorithms and scaling all this to a very large amount of data.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a small team of engineers at FullContact India to evolve our Identity Resolution capability
  • Research, Design, Implement, Test, and Maintain new identity resolution and matching algorithms
  • Design, build, test, and deploy massively parallel graph algorithms
  • Process large amounts of data leveraging big data technologies such as Spark, Kafka and more.
  • Collaborate with our sales team to assist them in making and closing deals
  • Conduct periodic team meetings to ensure well-coordinated releases between engineering and stakeholders
  • Design and build out tools and dashboards offering analytics, statistical, and account-level insights for debugging to support internal teams
  • Develop and evolve graph databases and algorithms
  • Be able to critically think through hard problems and emerge with robust, functional solutions
  • Build software to have resilience, performance, and security baked into their DNA
  • Can be relied upon to be the ‘technical face’ for FullContact through blog posts, conference presentations, meetups, etc
  • Capable of running point to respond quickly to ad hoc customer requests
  • Conduct demonstrations and create content to guide sales conversations and be the technical resource
  • Participate in on-call rotations to support key systems to ensure High Availability
  • Pushing the envelope around process and technology to improve efficiency, quality and speed of systems and the team
  • Stay current on the latest technologies used across the organization
  • Willingness to travel abroad as necessary to forge global relationships

Necessary Skills

  • Expert in Spark, and working with large volumes of data and big data technology
  • Solid experience in backend technologies and patterns
    • Scala, Java, API Frameworks (i.e. Dropwizard)
    • Large scale and NoSQL databases (i.e. Cassandra, Scylla, HBase)
    • Traditional RDBMS and SQL (MySQL, Postgres, Aurora, Athena, etc)
  • Solid experience in cloud technologies (i.e. AWS) and deploying in the cloud
    • CI/CD tools such as Spinnaker / Jenkins / Docker / Kubernetes
    • Cloud configuration and deployment templates (Terraform, Ansible, etc)
    • Linux / Unix and CLI scripting
    • Observability tools (i.e. PagerDuty, Graphite, Grafana, etc)
  • Very knowledgeable in managing cloud costs through reservations and instance type selection
  • Very knowledgeable in building heavy volume microservices and distributed systems that are highly available
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Customer-focused in ensuring a superior customer experience
  • Nice to Haves:
    • Experience in managing and evolving core CI/CD infrastructure to enable rapid innovation for developers
    • Experience in Druid
    • Experience in machine learning
    • Experience in Docker & Kubernetes
    • Experience in Identity Resolution
    • Experience in mathematics and algorithms
